Northern Mattress & Furniture 1st was founded as Northern Mattress Co. in 1950 by the Redman family

The original Northern Mattress Co. closed in March of 2007.
In November of that same year, Priceless Mattress & Furniture was opened by Karen Lee Redman at 16 Western Avenue, Augusta Maine. Karen Lee’s husband Peter worked at the original Northern Mattress Co. factory.

In August 2010 the Redman family decided to pay homage to their founding by combining Priceless Mattress & Furniture, with Northern Mattress Co, becoming Northern Mattress & Furniture 1st.
