Waterville Works 2021

We would love your input – help us help you maintain and grow your business through the upcoming construction period.

Mid-Maine Chamber has encouraged your “constructive” ideas and input on how we can work with you on marketing and promotion ideas to continue to encourage customers to frequent your business before, during, and after construction.

Thank you to those who participated in our initial meeting on March 16. Now, we would like to hold a follow-up meeting to move some of these ideas forward – or consider additional ideas/concepts to develop further. We have multiple marketing partners on board to assist us in pushing out our messages about the positives of continuing to visit Downtown Waterville.

We all know that the upcoming months will be disruptive. However, if we work together to develop some worthwhile promotions and programs, we can assure that customers will continue to engage.

Brainstorming Follow-Up

Wednesday, April 14 – 9:30 to 11 a.m.

The meeting will be free and open to downtown businesses and owners, but you will need to register to receive the Zoom link. The link is also included on our website at www.midmainechamber.com. You may also attend in person at the Chamber Boardroom, 50 Elm St., Waterville. Please encourage your business neighbors to participate!

Register to JOIN the meeting here.

We will continue to discuss and share ideas, particularly around promotional programs and marketing – with solutions that work for all businesses. We are in this together, and the combined ingenuity, creativity, and focus of our downtown businesses are what we will need to provide a positive plan for moving forward.

Business-building promotions to attract customers, along with some creative marketing plans are just the tip of the iceberg. We need to hear from you!

The agenda for the meeting will include, but not be limited to:

  • Further discussion of a marketing plan – including traffic-building promotions, external media support, social media communications
  • Additional brainstorming for long-term ideas, solutions, and financial support of the program
  • Getting the word out to all impacted businesses; encouraging participation
