The fascination with human flight was captivating to nearly everyone at the time Charles O. Jones brought his flying machine to the Central Maine Fairgrounds in 1908. They were the early years of our Waterville fairgrounds and the early years of flying. Come learn about the fair and excitement surrounding the flight of the airship, Boomerang, and how lives changed that day in September.

This free Waterville Historical Society outreach event is at Spectrum Generations, Muskie Center, 38 Gold St., Waterville. Please join us Monday, August 25 at noon.
