His revolution was televised. On February 8, 1977, Tony Kiritsis (Bill Skarsgård) enters the office of Richard Hall (Dacre Montgomery), president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and takes him hostage with a sawed-off shotgun wired with a "dead man's wire" from the trigger to Tony's own neck. Walking Richard down the streets of Indianapolis, Tony demands justice for Meridian Mortgage's schemes and becomes an outlaw folk hero. As the media frenzy peaks, the standoff becomes a spectacle of desperation, defiance, and blurred justice.
Directed by the legendary Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Elephant) and also starring Al Pacino, Coleman Domingo, and Cary Elwes, "Dead Man’s Wire is a timely, entertaining reflection on the way the offer of the American Dream often tends to be snatched back."—David Rooney, Hollywood Reporter.
