We all need connection to other people. The recent public health crisis and our growing divisiveness have made it harder to support and maintain these connections. But it is possible to create buildings, communities, and transportation systems that make connections easier.

WHAT WE DO AT THE SUMMIT

Each year, GrowSmart Maine brings together 200+ people from across Maine to our annual Summit. Though the focus changes each year, the program consistently encourages networking within breakout discussions to delve deeper into keynote presentations as we explore what each of us can DO as a result of what we’ve heard and seen.

Maine Smart Growth Awards to support projects, policies, and people contributing to a more sustainable and prosperous Maine.

Community Spotlights feature smart growth projects and let attendees ask questions and learn from the practical experiences of communities from across Maine.

City Experience Walking Tours. Attendees can choose from several themed walks in the downtown area before the reception to round out the day.
