For the past several months, we’ve been working with our creative partners to map out an exciting schedule of 2024 Maine Lit Fest events, which we can’t wait to share with you very soon. 

On the evening of Saturday, October 5th, we’re handing the reins over to YOU.  

• Perhaps you have dreamt of holding a reading in an innovative or unusual space.

• Maybe there’s a particular topic of conversation you’d love to hear a group of authors discuss that you have not heard before.

• What about a literary scavenger hunt, or pairing short readings with music or free throw shooting or candlepin bowling or some other activity?

• Or what about a group read aloud of a short story or play?

• What if you brought together folks to write a community poem or share their favorite (or least favorite) sentences?

• One of our favorite events at the last Lit Fest was a small group of writers sharing some of their worst-ever writing.
