Adult Education Evening Secretary (Part-Time)

Mid-Maine Regional Adult Community Education is seeking a highly organized Evening Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support during the evening hours to ensure the smooth operation of our office.

This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in various software applications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. As our Evening Secretary, you will play a vital role in maintaining an organized work environment and supporting the needs of our team.
Schedule: 18 hours per week | Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 9:00pm | Academic Year (September - June)
Performance Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome instructors and learners
Schedule appointments
Register learners for enrichment classes
Prepare materials for enrichment instructors
Maintain communication with enrichment instructors and office staff
Ensure office security and confidentiality
Drafting documents and/or creating spreadsheets
Photocopying, filing, and general reception duties
Reserve and coordinate room usage for enrichment classes
Answer public inquiries by telephone, email, and in-person relative to various parts of the organization
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma/HiSET/GED required
Proficiency in administrative tasks with strong organizational skills.
Experience with calendar management to coordinate schedules effectively.
Strong communication skills in verbal and written English
Passion for Adult Education
Familiarity with clerical duties including data entry and general office management.
Knowledge of Google Suite applications for document creation and collaboration.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Experience in MaineStars or CourseStorm is preferred but not required.

MMRACE is a public adult education program serving adults in the Greater Waterville area (Waterville, Winslow, Vassalboro, Oakland, Belgrade, China, Sidney, and Rome) towards their academic and career-related goals. We have sites in two communities within our service region: Waterville and Oakland. Annually, we serve over 300 individuals throughout our academic programs, enroll over 1400 community members for enrichment classes, and partner with over 20 community organizations. This position will be assigned to the Waterville site.
