City of Waterville - Heavy Equipment Mechanic

The City of Waterville Department of Public Works is accepting applications for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

This is a highly skilled position involving the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of vehicles and motorized equipment owned and operated by the City of Waterville. Qualified applicants should have a solid and diversified background in diesel and gasoline engine diagnostics and repairs, hydraulic systems, brakes and suspensions and various heavy equipment components. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A valid Class B driver’s license and Class D Motor Vehicle Inspection License are required; however, applicants willing to obtain these advanced certifications may be considered. The successful candidate must live within a 30-road mile radius of the Public Works facility and must supply own tools.
