PART TIME POSITION SUMMARY:
Get ready to work out, play board games, join in on fun adventures, and get paid for doing it! Lead teen members who are in need of support in after-school activities as well as guiding/helping them adjust and grow within the program guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate willingness to participate in all areas of the program.
- Demonstrate ability to offer guidance and support to teens experiencing behavioral, emotional, and/or physical challenges .
- Plan and implement daily curriculum for members to follow.
- Ability to observe student behavior and assess its appropriateness, enforce relevant safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Guide any member with behavior, attitude, or emotional problems, referring any serious problems to the Teen Programs Manager.
- Assist with all program activities.
- Maintains safety, cleanliness, and discipline of teens, program area and equipment.
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School Education or GED is required, or working towards one.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of relevant experience
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a variety of groups participating (age and skill level), and can provide necessary instruction to children.
- Skills in problem solving.
WORK SCEHDULE: Varies based on availability & need – Programming is Mon-Fri. Some Saturdays for weekend events. Part time / 20 hours per week.
Salary Description$14.65-$16.48 per hour
