The Town of Winslow, Maine is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Town Manager. Located in Kennebec County along the banks of the Kennebec River, Winslow is a welcoming community rich in local history, with a population of approximately 8,000 residents and provides excellent commercial, industrial, and residential opportunities.
The town’s location provides an outdoor landscape perfect for activities such as fishing, walking/hiking, biking, and watersports, as well as restaurants and shopping in town and within close proximity.
The Town Council is seeking an individual with proven leadership ability, strong budget and financial management skills, experience with personnel and labor related matters, knowledge of grant application and administration, and the ability to lead economic development.
Candidates for this position must possess a collaborative leadership style and the ability to effectively communicate in public forums as well as with individuals from the public, elected officials, employees, business community, and governmental officials. Municipal management experience is preferred, but candidates with comparable work experience are encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time position requiring a hands-on and collaborative leader who possesses the ability to help develop, support, and progress the vision of the community, elected officials, and town staff.
