WABI TV in Bangor, Maine just celebrated 71 years on the air as Maine’s First Television Station and continues to excel in local news, weather, sports and entertainment. We are dedicated to serving our communities and providing effective marketing solutions for area businesses. The Bangor area boasts an array of attractions that can’t be matched, including the American Folk Festival and Bangor’s very own Waterfront Concert Series that attracts award winning artists from all genres to the area. JOB SUMMARY:
This part-time job (25 hrs/week) entails helping to produce two-and-a-half hour weekday morning newscasts and learning the producer's role sufficiently to serve as a fill-in for that position. There are also opportunities to fill-in during other shifts. The job also requires posting materials to social media and station website.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Use bullet points & Listed duties):
- Sending and taking video feeds
- Editing video for air and website
- Sending materials to newscast rundowns
- Timing newscasts
- Assisting with studio prep
- Posting materials to website and social media
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational background in electronic mass media/journalism or related discipline
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred
