Award-Winning Honorees
This year's MIFF lineup brings iconic cinematic talent directly to Central Maine. The 2026 festival will proudly honor:
Christine Vachon (MIFF Achievement Award): The legendary independent film producer and founder of Killer Films (Far From Heaven, Past Lives).
Alan Rudolph (Lifetime Achievement Award): The distinctive and highly innovative American independent director and screenwriter (Trouble in Mind, Choose Me).
Mike Kaplan (Lifetime Achievement Award): Acclaimed producer, marketing expert, and long-time champion of MIFF.
We honor and celebrate the array of identities in our local and broader communities. We hold space on our stages, screens, and gallery walls to present diverse stories, identities, and lived experiences in real and authentic ways.
