Our Story Summit Natural Gas of Maine is a natural gas utility company headquartered in Yarmouth, Maine with the mission of delivering clean, safe, affordable, and reliable energy solutions to our customers every day through exceptional service and a strong commitment to our communities. Summit began building its pipeline system in Maine in 2013 and since that time, the company has invested more than $340 million to install more than 250 miles of pipe throughout the Kennebec River Valley and in Cumberland, Yarmouth and Falmouth to bring natural gas access to thousands of families, businesses and industrial users. As a company, Summit is committed to being a good corporate citizen by investing in communities we serve and being a good environmental steward. By increasing access to natural gas throughout its service territory in Maine, Summit has been able to convert many industrial, commercial and residential customers from dirty fuel sources like oil to clean burning natural gas, playing a critical role in reducing carbon emissions throughout the state.
