 JOB SUMMARY:
WABI-TV in Bangor, Maine is seeking a full-time Broadcast IT Engineer to assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of IT and broadcast systems.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Use bullet points & Listed duties):

  • Install, configure, and maintain broadcast equipment and broadcast/office computer systems
  • Manage user accounts
  • Assist employees with desktop and broadcast systems issues
  • Apply system patches/updates and perform regular system backups
  • Create and maintain system documentation
  • Work with the corporate IT and Technology Teams to install, configure and implement  hardware and software as required
  • Assist with facility maintenance
  • Other Duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in electronics, computer science or related experience is required


 -Broadcast engineering, IT or operations experience is a plus

  • Experience working with Windows servers, Active Directory, Windows and Mac operating systems and hardware, VMWare, networking, network switches, NAS devices, VOIP phone systems, MS Office applications, and backup/recovery software is preferred
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations


 -Must be available to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
 -Regular on-call shifts for after-hours support are required
 -Self-motivated, detail oriented, team player with excellent communication skills
 -Must be able to lift 50lbs
 -Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
