Hemphill's Horses, Feed, and Saddlery, Inc. is a new business operating in the footprint and in the spirit of what was formerly Hemphill's, Inc. The new “Hemphill's” is family owned and operated by Emily Mitchell and Bill Rafuse. Together with our children, our extended family, and the community at large, we aim to create a mecca for horse lovers across Maine and New England. We are stepping into a tradition of providing a one-stop shop for all things equine with the sale of horses, tack, and feed, as well as a camp horse rental program, we intend to expand our offerings to include educational clinics in a variety of disciplines, seminars on veterinary care and nutrition, competitions and fun family friendly events. We are a retail facility offering feed, tack and riding equipment and general farm supplies, as well as horses for sale and lease. Creighton established a reputation as a talented horse trader with an eye for quality horses and people from around the state continue to look to Hemphill's as a retailer of affordable horses. The feed operation is one of the biggest in the area and supplies feed to local sub-dealers as well as to horse farms and horse owners. The tack store has space to sell all basic needs for horse and rider. It will continue to offer basic farrier and vet supplies, grooming equipment, horse clothing, stable and fencing needs, clothing and tack, and will be expanding its line of english riding apparel and equipment as well as team penning gear and other customer requests to meet the demand of area riders.

Natanis Golf Course, located just outside of Augusta (one hour North of Portland and one hour South of Bangor), is the only golf course in the State of Maine to offer 36 regulation holes. Natanis was cut from the rural fields and rugged woods of Vassalboro, Maine.

The little “Red House” as it has been affectionately called, was moved to its current location in 1816, to provide for the shelter and comfort of the Parson and his family. It is situated next to a rushing stream and waterfall. Visitors cannot help hearing it's soothing sound as they approach. The Parsonage House offers a unique dining experience that is unlike most in the area. It is reservation only so you never have to wait in line again. There is only one seating per night, so there is no rushing to leave. The menu is always changing so there is always something new to try. I will not only be preparing your meal, I will also be serving it! Just pretend you are coming to my home as a dinner guest. The Parsonage is home to Feeding the Multitude Catering Service which offers a wide selection of services and menu ideas to make your special event unique and one to remember. We provide off site catering to the Central Maine area and for smaller events we can host you in our quaint dining rooms.You may also reserve the whole dining room for your private dinner parties. Cooking classes are offered at the Parsonage throughout the year and provide a unique experience to those who attend. Students observe and participate in the preparation of the dishes and then sit down around a beautiful table to enjoy the food and most importantly, the company!
